For Recruiting Weekend 2017, your Fighting Texas Aggie Rugby Club traveled to Huntsville, TX on Friday night for three matches, then returned to College Station on Saturday to show potential Aggie Rugby recruits what the rugby brotherhood is all about in a post-football tailgate hosted by Old Maroon.

The Aggies put their top 7s players on the pitch against a very fast, very physical Prairie View A&M University Rugby Club 7s squad. The Aggies' 7s experience shown through in a 60-12 win over the Panthers.

For the middle match, TAMU White (2nd XV) matched up against Sam Houston State Rugby Football Club's Blue squad and topped the hosts 17-7.

Finally, an Aggie Maroon squad devoid of its 7s players dropped a hard fought match to Sam Houston's Grey squad. The Bearkats found in-goal many more times than the Aggies' would like and won the match 43-14.

The Ags face the Razorbacks of Arkansas Rugby next Friday evening at Glencoe Park, Dallas in their first D1A Rugby Red River Rugby Collegiate Conference match of the 2017-2018 Season.
