Jeremy Stewart announced as Assistant Forwards Coach for TAMU Men’s Rugby

College Station, TX, June 14, 2017– The Texas A&M Men’s Rugby Club welcomes Jeremy Stewart as an Assistant Forwards Coach for the 2017-2018 rugby season. Coach Stewart returns as a coach to the Aggie Rugby family after taking a few years off to start a family. Aggie Rugby Forwards Coach Johnny Smith says this about the addition to the coaching staff:

"We're excited to have someone with Jeremy's credentials as a player, coach and educator join the club. He will bring a wealth of experience as an educator that will benefit both coaches and players. I've known Jeremy for many years as a player and coach. He's a character guy first and foremost, will have a high standard for the players and assist each to attain the standard.”

Stewart looks forward to returning to the Aggie Rugby Coaching staff stating, “I am excited to be get back on pitch. There is something about coaching that is indescribable. It is comparable to teaching in the classroom. Developing and guiding an athlete to their potential is rewarding and life-giving.”

Coach Stewart is a 2010 graduate of Midwestern State University and received his Master’s Degree in Studies Principles from Sam Houston State in 2014. He intends to pursue a Doctorate at Texas A&M. He currently works as the Assistant Principal at College View High School in the College Station ISD. Jeremy makes his home in College Station with his wife Amanda and their son, Elliot.
